A Week of Overtime and Exciting Developments at SEA Sailmakers

This week, the team at SEA Sailmakers has been working around the clock to keep up with the high demand for both new sails and urgent repairs. With high season in full swing, we've handled a surge of emergency sail repairs from our local charter partners, including Simpson Marine, Elite Yachting, Asia Marine, Dream Yacht Charters, and Sunsail. Keeping these boats out on the water is our priority, and our repair team has been putting in extra hours to make it happen.

Meanwhile, our sailmaking team has been hard at work, finishing up a range of custom sails for clients worldwide:

  • A mainsail & 150% genoa for a Catalina Capri 14.2, now en route to Vancouver, Canada.

  • A short batten mainsail and hanks-on genoa for an X-Yachts X79, heading to Hyogo-Ken, Japan.

  • A roller furling genoa for a Maxi 95, ready for collection in March at Challenge Fastnet 8.88.

  • A 135% roller furling genoa for a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 50 DS, on its way to Marina del Sur, Los Lagos, Chile.

  • A full batten mainsail for a Santana 20, now bagged, boxed, and heading to Courtice, Canada.

On the social front, Robert and Iwiyisi Tasker attended the Crew Party at The Deck Restaurant at Phuket Yacht Haven, catching up with industry friends and celebrating another busy season.

And in exciting news, we are thrilled to announce that SEA Sailmakers will soon be opening a small chandlery and fabric shop in Chalong! This new space will serve as a drop-off point for sail repairs, canvas work, and upholstery services—a convenient option for our customers in the south of Phuket. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to opening day!

As always, we are incredibly grateful for the trust and support of our customers, both near and far. Here’s to another busy and productive week ahead!
