A Few Busy Weeks at S.E.A. Sailmakers
The last few weeks have been another busy period here at S.E.A. Sailmakers, with sails leaving the loft for destinations across the globe. From cruising mainsails to high-performance genoas, it’s been a great mix of projects on the sail floor.
🌍 New Sails Completed
Here are some of the sails that have recently been finished and shipped out from our Phuket loft:
High Roach Mainsail and Genoa for our friends at @groupislandspirit and their Sailing Academy in Pattaya
Short Batten Mainsail for a Dehler 25, boxed and on its way to Dublin, Ireland
Full Batten Mainsail and 150% Genoa for a Westerly Corsair, now heading to Cornwall, UK
Full Batten Mainsail for a Downeast 32. This sail is being collected tomorrow by the owner, who will be taking it home after enjoying a holiday here in Phuket
High Roach Mainsail for a Lagoon 440, now completed and installed at Phuket Yacht Haven
165% Hanks-On Genoa for a C&C 27 MKV, currently on its way to Shanty Bay, Ontario
Custom Genoa for a custom sailboat, finished and ready to go to “Blighty”. We can’t wait to see this one sailing along the coast… once the weather improves!
Full Batten Mainsail for another Westerly Corsair, now completed and awaiting the matching Genoa and Lazy Bag to complete the wardrobe. This boat will soon be sailing the coast of Cornwall
Short Batten Mainsail for a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 32. Come spring, we hope to see it powering along the coast of County Antrim
🧵 Repair Loft Update
Our repair team has also been incredibly busy carrying out repairs, maintenance, and upgrades on sails from a wide variety of boats.
Recent work has included repairs and servicing for boats such as:
Lagoon catamarans
Beneteau Oceanis and Jeanneau Sun Odyssey cruising yachts
Bavaria and Hanse production cruisers
Hallberg-Rassy and Amel bluewater yachts
Performance boats including J/Boats and club racers
The team has been repairing and servicing roller furling genoas, cruising mainsails, storm sails, spinnakers, and code zeros, along with UV replacements, recuts, laundering, and reinforcement work to keep sails performing at their best.
🏗 Loft Expansion Underway
Exciting news here at the loft — we are doubling the size of our sailmaking floor.
The new concrete floor has been laid and the main structural pillars are now installed. If all continues on schedule, we hope to open the new extension within the next month.
This expansion will allow us to handle larger sails more efficiently and continue improving production capacity.
Stay tuned for updates!
