S.E.A. Sailmakers Monthly Update – Sails Around the World 🌍⛵

It’s been an incredibly busy and rewarding month here at S.E.A. Sailmakers (South East Asia Sails). The loft has been full, the sewing machines have barely stopped, and sails have been heading out to just about every corner of the globe.

From cruising mainsails to high-performance downwind sails, here’s a look at what we’ve been up to.

🌍 New Sails Completed

This month has seen an incredible variety of sails leave the loft, including:

  • Short Batten Mainsail for a Dehler 25, now on its way to Dublin, Ireland

  • High Roach Mainsail and Genoa for our friends at @groupislandspirit and their Sailing Academy in Pattaya

  • 150% Roller Furling Genoa for a Pearson 35, finished with forest green UV and heading to Edgewater, Maryland

  • Full Batten Mainsail (2 reefs) for a Jeanneau 40, soon to be sailing the coast of New South Wales

  • Short Batten Mainsail for a Boomaroo 22, now in Queensland

  • Headsail for a Hunter 216, bound for Currarong, Australia

  • High Roach Mainsail installed on a Fusion 40 Catamaran at Phuket Yacht Haven

  • 135% Roller Furling Genoa for a Sadler 34, now heading to Tonbridge, UK

🎨 Colourful Downwind Sails

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again — we love building spinnakers and Code Zeros, especially when clients get creative with colour:

  • A green and white asymmetrical spinnaker for Billy & Lizzie’s Pearson 365 Ketch (@2brits1box), now heading to Mexico

  • A purple, orange, and dark grey Code Zero for a Fountaine Pajot Tanna 47, on its way to Greece

  • A bright orange spinnaker for a Bavaria 39, shared by Didier — and looking fantastic on the water

  • A large asymmetrical spinnaker for an Irwin 54, packed and heading to Florida

Cruising & Performance Sails

A wide mix of cruising and performance sails have also left the loft:

  • Furling Mainsail and Jib for a Gallion 22, heading to the Isle of Skye

  • 135% Genoa for a Currawong 30, bound for New South Wales

  • In-Mast Furling Mainsail & Genoa for a Hunter 436 DS, heading to Florida

  • Short Batten Mainsail for a Fabola Campus MKII, staying closer to home here in Thailand

  • Roller Furling Jib for a Beneteau Cyclades 39.3, heading to the Czech Republic

  • Roller Furling Genoa for a Hallberg-Rassy 36, ready for collection

  • Full Batten Mainsail for a Sadler 34, heading to Bangor, Northern Ireland

  • Short Batten Mainsail for a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 40, ready for collection and onward travel to Singapore

🌏 Global Destinations

Our sails have travelled far and wide this month, including:

USA, Canada, UK, Ireland, Greece, Norway, UAE, Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Mexico, Namibia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Switzerland, and beyond.

We even had several customers combine holiday + sail collection, taking their sails home as luggage — saving on shipping and enjoying time in Phuket at the same time. (A trend we fully support!)

🛠 Custom & Specialty Projects

A few standout and unique builds this month:

  • Gale Sail for a 35–40ft yacht, built in bright orange for maximum storm visibility, heading to Switzerland

  • Cross-cut Yankee for a Dudley Dix 10m, bound for Namibia

  • Lugsail for a sailing dinghy — simple, classic, and effective

  • Lateen sail for an outrigger, soon racing in Indonesia

  • Full Batten Mainsail for a Madness Proa, a truly unique and exciting design

  • 150% Genoa for an Adams 10, built for performance and now heading to Victoria, Australia

🧵 Not Just Sails

It’s not just sails leaving the loft:

  • Lazy Bags / Stack Packs for multiple yachts including Mirage 26 and Fountaine Pajot catamarans

  • Boom covers and awnings, including a beautifully finished awning using Sauleda textiles

  • Custom deck gear designed to improve sail handling and onboard comfort

📸 Client Thank-Yous
