S.E.A. Sailmakers Update – Two Busy Weeks in the Loft & Out on the Water

The last couple of weeks have been another busy and rewarding period here at S.E.A. Sailmakers (South East Asia Sails). With a steady flow of repairs, new sail builds leaving the loft, and even a little time spent out on the water, the team has been keeping momentum high.

🧵 Repairs & Refits

Our repair team has been hard at work carrying out a wide range of repairs and maintenance for private owners and cruising yachts alike. Over the past two weeks, we’ve worked on sails for popular yacht models including Beneteau, Jeanneau, Bavaria, Hunter, Lagoon, and Catalina.
From worn UV strips and stitching repairs to chafe protection and general sail TLC, these jobs help keep well-travelled sails performing safely and efficiently for many more miles.

New Sails Completed

Alongside repairs, the sailmaking team has completed an exciting mix of custom projects heading to destinations around the globe:

  • A Furled Genoa Sleeve for a Beneteau First 27 for our friends at @primusmarine, bound for a customer in Hong Kong

  • A Hanks-On Jib for a custom yacht heading to Perth, Western Australia

  • A Full Batten Mainsail for a Jeanneau Sun Magic 44 soon to be seen sailing the stunning coast of Norway

  • A Lazy Bag / Stack Pack for a Hunter Passage 42, making its way to Florida – the Sunshine State

  • A Short Batten Mainsail for a Colvin Liberator 35, soon cruising the shores of Ireland

  • A Full Batten Mainsail and Genoa for a Bluewater 385, built for our friend Vladimir in Chalong Bay

Each sail is built with careful attention to detail, tailored to the boat and the way it will be sailed.

🃏 Out on the Water – Kata Rocks Poker Run

Robert and Iwiyisi also took part in the Kata Rocks Poker Run, which saw participants cruise around the island collecting cards along the way. While the poker hand itself left a little to be desired, the day was a fantastic one — great boats, great people, and even better conditions on the water.

📸 Client Thank-Yous

A big thank you to @samuthorpe for sharing a fantastic video of his newly installed S.E.A. Sailmakers mainsail and genoa, beautifully powering his custom trimaran through the stunning waters of Indonesia. Seeing our sails doing exactly what they were built for never gets old.

From detailed repair work to brand-new sails heading to every corner of the world, the last two weeks have been a great example of what we love doing most — helping sailors get the best from their boats. Thank you to all our clients and partners for continuing to trust S.E.A. Sailmakers with your sails.

Fair winds,
The S.E.A. Sailmakers Team
