S.E.A. Sailmakers Weekly Update – Back from Annapolis & Back to Work!

It’s been a fantastic few weeks for S.E.A. Sailmakers (South East Asia Sails) — both abroad and back at the loft.

A Successful Annapolis Sailboat Show

Robert has just returned from a successful trip to the Annapolis Sailboat Show, where he had the pleasure of meeting a number of our existing customers as well as welcoming new ones to the S.E.A. Sailmakers family.

One of the highlights of the show was the official launch of the Island Spirit 525, complete with a full set of sails proudly made by S.E.A. Sailmakers. It was a proud moment to see our craftsmanship powering such a beautiful yacht, and we’re excited to see her set sail on her adventures ahead.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to say hello, share stories, and discuss future projects — we truly appreciate your support and enthusiasm.

Busy Weeks in the Loft

While Robert was away in Annapolis, the team here in Phuket were just as busy, keeping the sewing machines humming and the loft floor full of fresh sails. Over the past few weeks, we’ve completed an impressive range of sails for boats of all shapes and sizes, including:

  • Mainsail for a Roberts Offshore 44

  • Genoa for a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 35

  • Mainsail and Genoa for a Lagoon 380

  • Code Zero and Spinnaker for an Island Spirit 525

  • Furling Mainsail and Genoa for a Gib’Sea 84

  • Gennaker for a Fareast 28R

  • Genoa and Asymmetrical Spinnaker for a Bavaria 46

  • Genoa for a X-99

  • Mainsail and Genoa for a Lagoon 400 S2

  • 135% Genoa for a J/29 FR

  • Genoa for a Custom Sailboat

  • Lateen Sails for Outrigger Trimarans

  • Asymmetrical Spinnaker for a Van de Stadt 34

  • Furling Jib for a Noelex 22

  • Spinnaker for an Elan 344 Impression

Every sail is crafted with precision, care, and the same dedication to quality that defines S.E.A. Sailmakers.

🧵 Repairs & Maintenance

Our repair team have also been working overtime, completing a wide range of repairs and sail laundering for both monohulls and catamarans. From replacing UV strips and battens to restitching high-load seams, the team continues to keep sails performing at their best for yachts across the region.

🌤️ Looking Ahead

With the Annapolis Sailboat Show behind us and the busy season ahead, we’re excited for what’s next. Whether it’s custom sails for global cruisers, refits for local charter fleets, or new designs for production catamarans, S.E.A. Sailmakers continues to deliver sails that inspire confidence and performance on every tack.

Thank you again to all our clients, partners, and friends who continue to support us — both near and far.

Fair winds,
The S.E.A. Sailmakers Team
