SEA Sailmakers Weekly Update – Big Sails, Big Celebrations & Big News

It’s been another full-on week at SEA Sailmakers with the loft buzzing, sails stacked floor to ceiling, and milestones worth celebrating. Here’s a look at what the team have been up to:

New Sails Completed

Over the past few days, we’ve finished an exciting lineup of sails destined for waters all over the world:

  • A Code Zero for a Fountaine Pajot Elba 45 for our friends at @yachtsalesco.

  • Another massive Code Zero for a Lagoon 620 — so large it challenged the loft’s pillars once again!

  • A Lazy Bag for a Fountaine Pajot Elba 45, also for our friends at @yachtsalesco.

  • A Roller Furling Genoa for a Hunter 357, ready to head for the Caribbean.

  • A Full Batten Mainsail for a Prout Snowgoose 37 Elite, bound for Florida.

  • A Furling Jib for an Island Packet 380, soon to be sailing the waters of the Philippines.

  • A Custom Spinnaker designed for a world cruiser — helping them continue their around-the-world adventure.

  • Two Square Top Mainsails for Arrow 4.3s, ready to head off to Queensland.

🧵 Sail Repairs in the Loft

Our repair team has been equally busy, taking on mainsails, headsails, spinnakers, and Code Zeros for a mix of round-the-world cruisers and local charter companies. This week’s projects included sails from leading makers such as North Sails, Doyle, Incidence, and Quantum. Boats from well-loved builders like Beneteau, Jeanneau, Lagoon, and Fountaine Pajot have all passed through our doors, with repairs carried out on behalf of charter fleets including Dream Yacht Charters, Sunsail, and Group Island Spirit.

📸 Thank You to Our Friends

A special thank you to our friends at @yachtsalesco for sharing fantastic photos of their new SEA Sailmakers Code Zeros flying proudly on a couple of their beautiful Fountaine Pajot catamarans. It’s always a pleasure to see our work powering such stunning yachts.

🎉 Team News & Celebrations

It’s been a week of wonderful milestones within the SEA Sailmakers family:

  • Khun Sine and her family welcomed a beautiful baby boy — congratulations from all of us!

  • We’re also eagerly awaiting the arrival of Khun Nai’s baby in the coming days.

  • Our head sail designer Tommy celebrated his 50th birthday this week. The team (minus Robert, who will be away) will be holding a BBQ to mark the occasion next week — a well-deserved celebration for a cornerstone of the loft.

Looking Ahead – Annapolis Sailboat Show

Finally, Robert has been busy preparing and packing for the Annapolis Sailboat Show, taking place October 9–12. We’ll be at Tent YB 20 and can’t wait to meet clients, sailors, and friends from near and far. If you’re attending, be sure to stop by and say hello!

From giant Code Zeros to tiny stitches on sails that have seen the world, this week has been one of our busiest yet — and also one of the most memorable. Thank you to all our clients, partners, and friends for being part of the SEA Sailmakers journey.

Fair winds,
The SEA Sailmakers Team
